Life Goals

I got to spend most of yesterday hanging out with my Dad at the National Air and Space Museum out by Dulles Airport.  We got to see two sweet IMAX films (one about a fighter pilot and another about Earth), ride in a simulator that we controlled, and saw some sweet planes including the concord, the space shuttle, and MANY more.  If you haven’t been there and you live nearby…this is a must see.  Anyway, walking through the museum got me to thinking about some of my life long goals.  How did this happen?  Well, anyone that knows me well, knows how much i like flying/planes/travel etc. so there’s the connection.  Anyway, i came up with a quick list of goals that i want to accomplish before my time here is finished so here they are:

  1. Spend a decent amount of time in each continent, including New Zealand (landing in an airport as a connection dosen’t count)
  2. Tour with a rock band (again…)
  3. Get a Tattoo (hopefully with breza unless he decides to be a panzy)
  4. Get a Flight license – maybe own a small plane too, but that’s pretty ambitious
  5. Build my own house
  6. Wife and two kids 🙂
  7. That everyone that knows me would also know about my Faith, the change that the God has made in me, and how much i want them to share in that too.

Can we please stop dropping the ball?

NOTE: This post is also directed at myself.

Tonight i had a conversation with some one about the gospel and this person flat out said that they didn’t think that it was possible that something so good could exist.  When i inquired why, the person said that in the past 10 years, NO ONE had ever approached him to tell him about it and he never saw anyone that was excited about it.  He said, “if its so good, you’d think I’d see more people who couldn’t wait to share it with other people or at least they couldn’t stop talking about it.  It’s like if you found out that a car dealer was giving away free cars, wouldn’t you go and tell people about it?  I don’t see that, so it must not be that great, or real…or maybe Christians aren’t sold on it either.”

OUCH.

That was pretty life changing for me…i hope for you as well.

I share an office with Brad, who is always exposing me to new music and stuff.  He’s an incredible graphic designer and a professional photographer (his studio’s blog is in my blogroll…OVEREXPOSED).  He showed me this video the other day and it is sick!  Enjoy!

SO AMAZING!!!

November 13, 2008 at 6:29 pm (Uncategorized)

I never though i would see the day (well i guess it was the night) but THE MOST incredible thing happend last night.  At apx. 3:04 AM on the drive back from recuruiting at Penn State, the song that i was listening to in the car, synched PERFECTLY with my turning signal.  I’m not talking about it being in for a little bit and then eventually fading out of sync…i’m talking it was like a perfect click track.  Belive me…i went back and tried it on the entire song!  I even tapped it out ith my met…it’s 77 BPM.  So it’s cool to know that my turning signal could be used during worship if we played Brooke Fraser’s version of Hosanna.  I’m still blown away that it finally happend…I’m so happy 🙂
