Milestone Day

May 15, 2009 at 3:09 am (faith, Random)

I didn’t wake up this morning expecting today to be so significant (or even to write a blog…haha) but i found a Hawaii State quarter this morning.  Why is that so milestone?  Well, that quarter completes the binder of the 50 state quarters my Grandfather gave to me 9 years ago for my birthday.  Ever since, whenever i found a quarter i didn’t have, it went in the binder and tonight, it is completed.  Thanks Bampa, for your lesson in patience, perseverance, and joy.

In other news, i watched the season finale of LOST tonight…one more season to go and i CAN NOT wait until January for it to begin again.  I would like to reinstate a statement i made 3 years ago when i first started watching this show.  A large number of people are going to come to Christ through this series.  I believe it and I even pray that it happens; in fact i already know that it has happened.  But God’s going to continue to use it and to me, thats awesome.

Finally time to breathe…and my sister rocks

March 9, 2008 at 7:07 pm (Random, School)

Well after 6 months of planning and 4 intense months of rehearsals, our middle school musical is over and all i can say is what an experience. I can’t tell you how proud i am of the kids that were involved because they really stepped it up and put on 3 great shows. They learned a lot through the entire process, but not as much as i did. It was a lot of long days and a lot of hard work, but it paid off in the end. Now I’m looking forward to having a life again, having time to do things aside from school, and being 12 weeks away from summer break (but who’s counting??).

In other news, Amy’s basketball team made it to the sweet 16 round of the D3 NCAA tournament and they play at home this Friday night to make it to the elite 8 vs. Rochester. I’m probably going to head down there to watch with my parents Friday night and you all are welcome to come with me. It will be one great game! You can check on how they’ve been doing here:

I read this in Perry Noble’s Blog today and I LOVE what he has to say about people with passion.  Check it out here.

On the flip side, we got out of school early today beacuse of the snow which was a very much needed break.  We might even get a delay tomorrow…thanks God!
